Here are some questions that are asked before using our services!
How do I prepare my quilt for service?
Quilt tops should be pressed and folded neatly.
Measure your quilt so you can estimate your costs.
If there is a "top" to your quilt, please mark this with a note pinned on it.
Fabric for the back of your quilt should be 4-6 inches larger than the top on all four sides.
Back fabric should also be pressed and folded neatly.
If you desire your back fabric to run a certain direction, please mark the top with a note pinned on it.
Make sure batting is sized at least 4 inches larger on all four sides than the quilt top.
Once all of that is done, you drive out to our shop and drop it off!
Where are you located?
We are located in Central Minnesota, in the little town of Princeton. We are nestled out in the country, just a few miles from the Sherburne County Wildlife Refuge. When you come drop off your quilt, we recommend you take a minute to hike the Blue Hill Trail, or take the Wildlife Drive.
How long does it take and what do I do once my quilt is complete?
It all depends on how complex the quilt is. I would typically give 2-3 weeks depending on current work queue. I will let you know when it is complete, and you can arrange to come and pick it up. Quilts that are not picked up within a year may wind up on my own bed, or on the bed of a family member.
How do we pay for your services?
Cash always is best, but we do accept all major credit cards as well.
